TERMS OF SALE:
1. Full payment shall be received before the registration papers, etc. are transferred to the buyer. Deposits are non-refundable unless the puppy dies.
2. Dog may be returned only to the seller, and settlement shall not exceed the purchase price of the dog only upon a receipt of written diagnosis from a licensed practicing veterinarian who examined the dog within (2) business days of delivery and found to be unsound or ill. (Apart from any noted exceptions at time of sale and agreed to by the buyer. Seller is not responsible for any vet bills incurred for vet checks, treatment, etc...
3. Dog is guaranteed to be free of the Parvo virus and Distemper for two (2) weeks. A written lab report is required for proof of these diseases.
4. Animals provided have warranty against genetic defect for a period of one (1) year. Genetic defects are defined as physical problems impacting the animal's wellbeing and not the result of other factors such as environmental injury and/or nutrition. We guarantee our pet quality puppies to have a grade 2 knee or better by the time they are 16 weeks old. Your puppy has been vet checked before it leaves our facility. If it is found to have an umbilical, or inguinal hernia, it will be repaired before leaving, unless agreed to by the buyer that they would rather have it done by their own vet.
5. If a genetic defect is found within the 1 year period, the dog shall be humanely euthanized by a licensed veterinarian, and a full refund of purchase price shall be given with a letter from the veterinarian that performed the euthanasia. If the defect may be corrected, a written letter from the veterinarian that performed the operation will be required before refunding of money. Seller is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCURRED COSTS OF VET CARE. The refund will not exceed the amount incurred by the surgery, nor will it exceed the purchase amount only of the dog. Shipping costs will not be refunded. For example, if your puppy cost $350 to purchase, and it needs a $50 surgery to correct something, then $50 will be refunded to the owner. If you choose to return the dog, it is at the purchaser's expense. Buyer agrees to check with seller first before any treatment is given, otherwise, this guarantee is void. A second veterinarian's opinion may be required by seller before refund is authorized.
6. Buyer agrees to feed the recommended dog food for the well being of the puppy for at least 3 months. (Eukanuba puppy small bite) If a different food is used, this guarantee if void. When switching foods, remember to mix the two foods to allow your puppy to become accustomed to the new food.
7. This animal is not being sold with the express ability to sire, or whelp puppies, or win at shows.
8. Buyer agrees to not allow a Lepto shot to be given to the puppy before it is 16 weeks old. If a Lepto shot is given and the puppy gets sick, or dies, this contract is void.
9. Seller does NOT guarantee the ability to housebreak this animal. Please do not purchase a puppy if you cannot give the proper time needed to housetrain it. Remember, this animal is a baby, and as such should be given love, care, and attention. Puppy proof your house to prevent chewing accidents. Provide toys for chewing. Provide vet care, paying attention to vaccinations, worming, and dental care.
10. We cannot guarantee the size of your dog when it is fully grown.
11. Your puppy has been treated for coccidia. However, when a puppy is placed under stressful situations, (leaving brothers and sisters, going to a new place, meeting new people), it is not uncommon for it to break out with coccidia. Symptoms of such a problem are loose bloody stools. You may give your puppy 1.5 cc of Albon (yellow liquid), and a half to a whole pill (depending on the size of your puppy) once a day for 3-4 days. Your puppy may have naturally loose stools, depending on the breed. If, after giving your puppy its treatment it still has loose stools, just keep an eye on it and as long as your puppy is acting well, eating and drinking, give it some time to settle in, and the problem should correct itself.
12. We recommend using bottled water when you first get your puppy and gradually mixing it with your water to make sure your puppy keeps drinking. A puppy can become dehydrated very quickly.
13. Make sure you keep your new puppy on a lead when outside until he/she learns what "come" means to avoid losing him/her.
14. We highly recommend getting your new puppy microchipped in case he/she gets lost. It can speed up his/her return to you from the animal shelters. Be sure and check with your local shelters to see what kind of chips they can read with their scanners. If you get a chip they can't read, your pet could be mistakenly put down.
BUYER AND SELLER AGREE TO ABOVE STIPULATIONS WITHOUT RESERVATIONS.
